Bio-
A protege of Ace of Base producer Anders Bagge, Swedish dance-pop singer Laila was born in 1973;
upon relocating to Gothenburg as a teen, she studied at the city's ballet academy, and after graduating in 1992 moved to Stockholm
to begin teaching at a dance school. Three years later she met Bagge, and in late 1996 production began on her debut LP, with
Hello Laila appearing in 1998. She lasted till 2004. When Laila Bagge wanted to create a hip young girl group, that's just
what she did. She picked two girls from her dance school, Sway, and held audtions in Stockholm, Sweden. The final result was
Play! Laila started doing musicals in Sweden, but wanted something more. At first she was in a group called Joy. When the
group couldn't agree, they split and Laila got signed to GVC, a record label in Japan. Laila released a CD in Japan that nearly
went gold and was soon signed to Motown records. When Universal bought Polygram a lot of people were fired and no one was
supporting Laila's project. She then decided she wanted to help other artists, and that's when she created Play. Laila has
been with Play from the begining, teaching them to dance and helping them with their singing and harmonies! If 2003 Laila
had her first child, Liam! He is currently around 2 or 3 years old. Laila Bagge received her education at the Musical Artiste
Program in Gothenburg, she has danced with Dr Alban and participated in the musicals West Side Story and My Boyfriend.

Laila is always looking for new artists, boys and girls from ages 11-24. If you would like Laila
to listen to you, you can send her a regular videotape of you singing live [it can be done with an ordinary video camera]
taped at your house, or wherever - the music needs to be singback version, you have to be singing lead, it can have background
